Up for sale is a truly one-of-a-kind 1951 International L130 Custom Camper with an incredible history and unmistakable vintage charm. This rare gem has been in the same family since new—we acquired it directly from the son of the original owner. Showing just under 62,000 original miles, it spent its early life as a workhorse for a plumbing and home construction business before being transformed into a custom camper in the 1970s.

The camper was professionally built as a chassis-mounted unit and has been lovingly maintained ever since—even stored with the weight off the springs to preserve the suspension. Finished in a distinctive brown and white two-tone, the truck itself is in excellent condition with straight panels and a clean, classic look. For added practicality and safety, turn signals were installed, and an auxiliary fuel tank was mounted behind the seat.

Power comes from the original 220 Inline 6-cylinder engine, mated to the original 4-speed manual transmission and rear end. It retains its factory 6-volt positive ground electrical system and features the factory dual rear wheel setup. Recent maintenance includes a full rebuild of the rear brakes and a professionally restored stock radiator.

Step inside, and you’re transported to a vintage camping dream. The camper interior is beautifully preserved with warm wood accents, excellent cabinetry, and original period appliances. It features a cab-over bunk, a convertible dinette that sleeps two, and a bunk bed option. A propane stove/oven, refrigerator, and furnace are all included and functional. There’s even a cleverly stowed exterior table and step under the main bed area, plus space for an extra propane tank in the underbody storage.

The camper remains dry and solid, showing no signs of water damage—a true testament to the care it’s received over the decades. A pass-through from the cab leads to the front interior, where you’ll find a classic bench seat and original gauges, along with the floor-mounted 4-speed shifter.
