This 1947 Buick Super Convertible is a beautifully restored classic, loaded with desirable features and charm. Produced in the early post-WWII era, this Buick carries the elegant, pre-war inspired styling that defined American cars of the time. In 1947, Buick offered three lines: the entry-level Special, the top-tier Roadmaster, and the well-balanced Super—which offered a longer wheelbase and solid performance with better fuel economy.
Buick thrived that year, ranking fourth among U.S. automakers and producing more convertibles than any other brand. The ’47 Super featured a new grille design and was known for its luxury touches, including hydraulically powered windows, seats, and convertible top.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 248 cu. in. “Fireball” Straight-8 engine with a 2-barrel carburetor, producing 110 horsepower. It’s mated to a 3-speed manual “three-on-the-tree” transmission. The chrome-tipped exhaust, dual spotlights, auxiliary driving lights, and dual side mirrors add both style and functionality.
This Buick rolls on wide whitewall bias-ply tires with color-matched steel wheels, chrome hubcaps, and beauty rings, with rear fender skirts completing its classic post-war look. The power-operated blue cloth top is in excellent condition and stows neatly under a matching boot.
Finished in stunning Cambridge Blue, the exterior chrome and trim—including optional bumper guards—shine beautifully. Inside, the blue and ivory vinyl bench seats, matching door panels, blue carpeting, and painted dash give it a refined, vintage feel. Power windows and a power front seat add modern ease, while the dash features a full set of factory gauges, clock, Sonomatic AM radio, and locking glovebox.
Whether you’re growing a collection or stepping into your first classic, this 1947 Buick Super Convertible is a rare and exceptional find—ready to show, drive, and enjoy.
