As Ford’s first all-new postwar design, the 1949 models introduced a fresh, lower, and wider look that remains iconic today. The 1949–1951 “Shoebox” Fords quickly became favorites for early custom car enthusiasts, and this 1949 Ford custom coupe stays true to that legacy with a thoughtfully executed build.

Maintaining its stock, unmodified body, this coupe is finished in striking Dark Grey metallic paint, complemented by a satin-finished front bumper, a deleted rear bumper, and hand-painted pinstripe accents by “Bruce.” Additional custom touches include dual chrome mirrors, a driver-side spotlight, chrome lake pipes, “Blue Dot” taillight lenses, and Red-painted steel wheels with chrome “flipper” hubcaps wrapped in Whitewall radial tires.

Inside, the Black and Grey two-tone upholstery is accented with pinstriping, while the OEM steering wheel, Moon tachometer, and Bosch coolant-temperature gauge add to the period-correct aesthetic. A modern JVC stereo provides the soundtrack for cruising.
