This stunning 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS perfectly showcases why the first-generation Camaro holds legendary status among collectors. Chevrolet designed the Camaro in response to Ford’s wildly successful Mustang, and what they created in just over two years was nothing short of automotive perfection. With its timeless long-hood, short-deck proportions, a variety of engine choices, and countless customization options, the Camaro quickly became an icon.

Finished in striking Marina Blue over a bright blue interior, this Camaro RS is a true showstopper. Its classic Chevrolet Rallye wheels wrapped in redline tires complete the period-correct look. The fit and finish are outstanding, with doors that shut smoothly and chrome that gleams like new. The signature RS hideaway headlights function flawlessly, snapping open with the pull of the switch.

Originally sold by Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix, Arizona, on November 17, 1967, this Camaro was first owned by Raymond and Mrs. Lagergren of San Jose, California. They financed the car through Bank of America and cherished it for over 30 years before selling it in 2001. The next owner transported it across the country to Old Forge, PA, where it underwent an extensive, three-year rotisserie restoration. During the process, some tasteful upgrades were made, including swapping the original Powerglide transmission and strato bench seat for bucket seats and a 4-speed manual. The original 10-bolt rear end with 3.08 gears was replaced with a 12-bolt for improved performance. These enhancements make the car more enjoyable to drive while maintaining its factory-correct appearance.

This Camaro comes with an impressive collection of documentation, including the original warranty booklet with protect-o-plate, owner’s manual, Chevrolet accessories catalog, and the original 1967 New Vehicle Inspection and Adjustment Schedule, signed on September 12, 1967. This document lists the original engine, transmission, axle codes, trim and paint codes, and VIN. Also included are original California registration cards from every year through 2001, proving its well-preserved history in California for over three decades.
