This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette is a red-over-red convertible that was repainted under prior ownership, and it is powered by a 327ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential with 4.11:1 gears. The car is equipped with a white soft top, chrome bumpers, flip-up headlamps, a Wilwood master brake cylinder, drum brakes, and 15″ Cragar S/S wheels with white-stripe tires. The cabin is outfitted with a push-button radio, a Hurst T-handle shifter, black carpets, and bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this C2 convertible is now offered in Florida with service records and a clean Texas title.
The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Riverside Red (923), and it was repainted in the 1990s. Equipment includes a white convertible top, flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumpers.
Chrome Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with Uniroyal Tiger Paw white-stripe tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums and a Wilwood master cylinder.
The bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl and are joined by color-coordinated door panels and black carpets. Details include a Hurst T-handle shifter, a push-button radio, and Corvette-branded floor mats.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, and the total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 is said to have been overhauled under prior ownership.
Photos of the engine pad stamp and block casting numbers are provided in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the PosiTraction rear axle is fitted with 4.11:1 gears, according to the selling dealer. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.
