1967 Mercedes 250S – 4-Speed Manual

This classic 1967 Mercedes 250S was originally purchased new in Germany by a military doctor and brought to Denver, Colorado, in 1970. I acquired it from the family estate, though only verbal records are available. Based on oil change stickers, a handwritten automobile log for tax records, and the car’s overall condition, I believe the mileage to be 103,332.

Features:

  • Basic 250S sedan with roll-up windows, no A/C
  • 4-speed manual transmission
  • Aftermarket radio installed
  • Original paint, except for a professionally repaired and repainted left rear lower panel
  • Trunk pan replaced and sealed due to rust, with preventative treatment applied
  • No rust in floors, fender wells, jack points, rockers, or around headlights and taillights
  • Original wood trim—solid but aged, with potential for refinishing
  • Original M114 engine with dual Zenith 35/40 carburetors
  • Recent maintenance: new spark plugs, wires, points, timing, and dwell set
  • New windshield and seal installed in October 2024

The car starts and drives but will need the carburetors rebuilt. This is one of the nicest original-condition 250S models I’ve seen—not a concours car, but a beautiful, solid driver. They’re only original once.

Selling due to health issues. Clean Colorado title.

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them1967 Mercedes 250S, 4 speed manual transmission. The car was purchased in Germany by Military Doctor new and was brought to Denver Colorado in 1970,I purchased from family estate and unfortunately only verbal records. From oil change stickers and hand written Automobile Log for tax records and overall condition of the car I believe the mileage to be 103,332. This is basic 250S Sedan, roll up windows, no ac, 4 speed, no radio [after market radio added]. The paint is original with exception of left rear lower panel. Trunk had developed rusting in the lower part of left side and I had it replaced with new metal pan and sealed, it was starting to get bubbles in the very bottom of panel so it was sanded out treated with por15 and was color matched and repainted. There is no rust in the rest of the car, all floors, fender wells very solid and NO RUST in the usual places like around headlights tail lights, jack points and rockers. Jack points are solid. All wood is original and is solid, age has taken its toll to finish, but can be refinished. See photos of wood. Engine is original M114 ,6-cyl. 2496cc/146hp 2x2bbl Zenith new spark Plugs and wires, new points and timing and dwell set. I will take photos and video asap, I am selling this due to recent health issuesThis is as nice of a 250S that I have seen in original condition, it is not concourse, but a very beautiful stand up driver.they are only original once.I will be glad to answer any questions and supply photos. The car starts and drives but needs carburetors rebuilt. I have been working on and collecting Mercedes and Porsche for the past 45 years, and in the past 90 days I am unable to do any work on the cars. Car has clean Colorado title.
