Cushman Motor Works started in 1903 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They began production of their four-stroke Husky engine in 1922 and began making scooters in 1936 as a means to increase the sales of their engines. Scooter production ended in 1965, but some remaining Eagles were sold as 1966 models. In 1949, Cushman redesigned the 50 series scooter to look like a miniature version of a Harley-Davidson and the Cushman Eagle was born.

In 1959, the Eagle was upgraded to the Super Eagle. In 1961, it became the Silver Eagle adding its all-aluminum OMC 9HP Super Husky Engine. This 1966 Cushman Super Silver Eagle has an electric start OMC 9HP engine. It is a super nice survivor from the final production of Eagles, with a new clutch and battery, but all else is original. This is a running scooter and it also has a North Carolina title.
