Quite the find right here
Definitely appears to be a factory air car. Quite rare with the L79 engine. Very nice car
Can you post pictures with the hood fully closed? Is this an original black car and can you post a picture of the trim tag inside the driver door? The car has the firewall components for factory air, do you have any of the other parts for the air? Beautiful car!
The car was originally red. They did a nice job with the color change. I do not have any additional A/C parts. I assume that you wanted the trim tag pic for the color code. Thanks.
Can you post pictures of the convertible top and the under side of the car?
Where is the car located?
What is the location history?
I haven’t had the hard top off. From what I can see the canvas appears to be in good condition. I’m 72 years old so removing the top would be quite a challenge. I don’t have a lift but I’ll see if I can get some undercarriage shots. As the listing states the car is in Salina, Ks. I have a good shipping broker if you were needing the location for shipping purposes. Salina is located on I-70 so there is a lot of transporter truck traffic.
How long have you had the car?
Where was it before you bought it?
I really need to see the underside and the top to bid much higher.
I’ve had it a couple months. I bought it from a local rancher that owned it for a long period of time. If you are concerned about the top bid as though you’ll have to replace it. Like I said I’ll try to get some undercarriage pics. Right now the bid is almost $78,000 BELOW book so I think you’re safe!
According to the Corvette DNA app, if the A/C works, the car is worth about $35,000 as it is optioned.
Hahaha I hope the app creator enjoyed his time in a coma!
A 1970 (the most desirable C3 year) with fully operational A/C, additional options, fully refurbished and in much nicer condition than yours just sold on BaT for $46K.
I don’t want to distract from this seller’s auction, but no one who knows Corvettes thinks 1970 is the most desirable C3 model year. The car you mention was an undesirable color with a grubby engine bay and no hardtop…and it went for $16k more than this is bid to…
